As well as offering GCSE English, we provide our students with ongoing support in English. This is particularly important for those whose first language is not English. We also provide sessions in Functional Skills, the essential skills needed in English, Maths & ICT, which are vital for all young people and adults to participate in life, learning & work.
Problem solving is at the heart of functional skills. They require the learner to apply their knowledge and understanding in a range of familiar and unfamiliar situations. Our staff are experts in the integration of functional skills & problem solving right across the curriculum.
